Humidity is simply a numeric quantification of how much water vapor exists in the air or in any gas. RH Systems products utilize humidity sensors that measure capacitance, which will change with a change in humidity in the air. Taking that capacitance measurement, calibrated against some other device of known humidity value, results in a numeric value in terms of humidity to change that capacitance to a humidity.
