GoogleIt Mail IT Print IT PermaLinkPrimate Is Not A LotusScript Keyword12:23:37 AM

I don't recall making this particular mistake ever before, but for the past few weeks I seem to be prone to typing "primate" instead of "private" when I'm declaring member variables in LotusScript classes. The letters "v" and "m" aren't close to each other on the keyboard. I've been touch-typing for 30 years, and although I'm a bit loose about the fingerings at times (especially with my left hand) I do tend to stick to the left hand versus right hand assignments. The letter "v" is a right hand key and "m" is a left hand key, so this is a mental short-circuit of some sort.

It must be all the discussions about intelligent design lately. I can't think of any other reason.

Maybe it should be -- in the sense that the church uses it. A Primate variable/method would be a very important variable indeed, ruling over not only the other variables (or methods) in its own class, but also over all other variables (or methods) in the entire application (but not in the entire domain). It would be superior to a Prelate or Metropolitan, but subsidiary to a Pope (if your domain is of Romish inclination). How it would interact with a Presbyter is not clear.
