SnTT: Field-level LastModified during document save

My friend Cal was having some problems trying to figure out whether certain fields on a document were modified during a document save. Of course you could use the old trick of ripping through NotesDocument.Items in PostOpen, store the values, then compare the values on save with what the original values were. But Cal didn't need to know what changed, he just needed to know whether it changed. And so we went on a wild goose chase together. The NotesItem class includes a LastModified property. Bu

According to Wikipedia refers XML data binding to the process of representing the information in an XML document as an object in computer memory. This allows applications to access the data in the XML from the object rather than using the DOM to retrieve the data from a direct representation of the XML itself. In other words you could tie HTML tables to Notes data and navigate through it without reloading the page. For this SNTT demo I needed: a form to create Book documents with a view to

Thursday Thirteen is here! I thought I would participate in this nice meme again. It's a lot of fun! If you'd like to participate, go here My 13 most used "Favorite Cookbooks" Yes, as a homemaker, I have a soft spot for all kinds of cookbooks...I have a complete mini library of sorts that has taken over my wrought iron pie rack over the years. I still have more books tucked away in the cabinet over my dryer in the laundry room. What is with me and an irresistible cookbook? And how hard was it

RV’ing Baja - Part 8 - RV Adventure Video March 13th, 2008 by John Holod Decision to Make a “Baja RV Adventure” Video This was getting ridiculous! I had come to the famous lagoons of Baja to get up-close and personal with the gray whales, but this was harassment! The calf and its mother kept coming back over and over again to be petted. The encounter had been going on for over two hours and I was getting tired. They were so close they were sliming my camera when they spouted to breathe, and

Now, instead of processing both Mail files AND Mail-in Databases, in ND7 and later, Busytime will ONLY processes the former. This means that following

Some people are just not that fortunate to have the privilige to be working with such an excellent tool as Lotus Notes is. In order to give them the option to add an action document created in a Notes application to their todo list in Outlook the code below will do the job: Sub Click(Source As Button) Dim ws As New NotesUIWorkspace Dim session As New NotesSession Dim db As NotesDatabase Dim uiddoc As NotesUIDocument Set db = session.CurrentDatabase Set uidoc = ws.Current

Outline for Informative Speech When people think of the Napoleon Marching band, they might just think of the people who play the fight song at the football games. They also might not think that the band does very much or works very hard. We just play some music and move around on the field for a few minutes. It’s true we don’t practice as long as the football players might; we only start practicing about a month before the first game. It takes a lot of hard work, time and dedication to cre
